Neal B. Finkelstein, MPT, MS, LMT, CEAS is a Florida licensed physical therapist and massage therapist with a special certification in sports massage. He has a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida and a Master of Science in Health Education/Exercise Physiology from Florida International University. His undergraduate work was completed at San Diego State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management) with a Minor in Political Science. He is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Health Fitness Specialist and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through the Back School of Atlanta.
Since July 2003, Neal has worked as a physical therapist in acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient sports rehabilitation settings. Neal also received his Florida license in massage therapy in 1989 with a specialized certification in sports massage in 1990. Neal has performed sports massage for the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem marathons in Israel as well as the Lipton International Players Championship Tennis Tournament in Key Biscayne, Florida for four years. This has given him the opportunity to perform sports massage on some of the top ranked tennis players in the world. Neal has also taught in various massage therapy schools, teaching courses ranging from basic massage techniques, advanced sports massage techniques, as well as anatomy and physiology.
In addition, Neal also has played the piano for over 40 years and has performed for many charitable causes over the years. Among his musical accomplishments, Neal has written a fight song for the Miami Dolphins football team which was the adopted song of the Dade Dolphins Booster Club when he served as public relations director between 1980 and 1982. It was a favorite song of the then Dolphins’ unofficial mascot Dolfan Denny. He also has a piano tape from 1982 that he produced into a CD in 2011 (for sale only via personal request).
On the serious side, Neal studies from the Talmud every morning and works on improving his character traits. He is committed to his spiritual growth as a human being and towards following a healthy lifestyle. Neal is married and has four children.
